EAPworks was founded by professionals with extensive experience in, and with a passion for assisting people to gain the maximum opportunities from a changing work environment.


EAPworks is an established alliance between Workplace Connections Limited and Relationship Services, operating nationally since November 2003.
Relationship Services is a non government, not-for-profit agency operating in 70 communities throughout New Zealand offering a full range of counselling services. Workplace Connections Limited was established in 1998 and offers a full range of professional staff support services throughout New Zealand.
The two organisations recognised an opportunity to develop synergies to enable them to better meet their clients needs by expanding the range of services they could offer.
The alliance is based on three shared values:

- Quality and professionalism
EAPworks has an established network of EAP professionals, counsellors, psychologists and other providers, all offering services in their professional area.
All personnel who work with EAPworks will adhere to our operating principles and code of ethics, and possess accredited professional skills to provide the following services:
- Workplace and personal counselling
- Professional / career development
- Organisational change support including restructuring and redundancy support
- Critical Incident stress management
- Team skills development
- Clinical supervision
- Mediation and facilitation.

Mark Sames
J.P, BSc, Grad Cert Career Dev, Dip.Bus & Admin, Dip.Labour Studies, Supervisor, CDANZ, CAT
Mark has a particular interest in organisational change, employee assistance, career development, and conflict resolution. He also gains great satisfaction from assisting individuals to harness their potential within a work and lifestyle context. Mark’s previous experience in management and consultancy has provided him with organisational and management insights in both the government and private sectors. He is also an accredited Career Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
Julie Crawley
BA (Psychology), Grad Cert Career Development, Dip.Tchg, Accredited Supervisor, CDANZ, CAT
Julie has extensive experience and training in relating to individuals and groups - as an Employee Assistance consultant, trainer, facilitator, supervisor, manager and celebrant. Over the past twenty years she has implemented and been actively involved in effective employee assistance programmes in a range of workplaces. She also has considerable experience supporting individuals and groups through organisational change and life transition.
